About thinkelearn.com

Our THINK eLearn website is not another off-the-shelf solution. We built a production-grade eLearning platform that doubles as a live showcase of our technical capabilities designed from the ground up to support the full learner journey — from course discovery and enrollment to payment, content delivery, and progress tracking — while remaining fully manageable by non-technical staff through Wagtail's intuitive CMS - the same standards and requirements we bring to every client engagement.

Key Capabilities

The Learning Management System is built on wagtail-lms, an open-source Django/Wagtail extension created and maintained by THINK eLearn's own co-founder. The platform is, in that sense, eating its own dog food — every feature we recommend to clients has been validated in production here first. On top of the base package, THINK eLearn layers significant custom functionality: H5P and SCORM 1.2 and 2004 compliant course delivery, a responsive player with auto-save progress, course prerequisites, enrollment limits, a searchable public catalogue with categories and tags, and a learner dashboard with completion statistics.

The payment system integrates Stripe Checkout with three pricing models: free, fixed-price, and pay-what-you-can — a model particularly well-suited to nonprofits and community organizations. The system includes a complete double-entry accounting ledger, automated 30-day refund handling, partial refund support, and idempotent webhook processing to ensure financial data integrity.

The communications layer uses Twilio for inbound SMS and voicemail capture, with a staff-facing workflow for assignment, notes, and follow-up tracking.

The content management backbone (Wagtail) powers flexible page creation for the homepage, about page, blog, portfolio, and contact form — including spam protection, testimonials, FAQs, and rich media support.

A full CI/CD pipeline via GitHub Actions deploys automatically to Railway, with PostgreSQL in production and a Docker-based local development environment.
